(AllHipHop News) Metro Boomin and Young Thug have come together to create several songs including “Hercules” off Thug’s recent release I’m Up. Thugger is even the voice for one of Metro’s popular production tags. But the two Atlanta-based stars have also gotten into a public spat.
Back in November, Thug called out Metro after the 22-year-old St. Louis native posted a tweet where he stated, “putting out 5 tapes in a year won’t make you heat up like Future.” Metro insisted he was not subtweeting at Thug, but many observers, including Thug, took the message as a subtle shot at the YSL representative since Thugger’s Slime Season 2 mixtape – his third project of 2015 – had recently dropped.
Metro spoke about the past tension between himself and Thug during a sit down with the Streetz Is Watchin radio show. He acknowledged the Metro Thuggin partners have had issues, but they have been able to move past those problems.
“We’ve had moments in front of the world and not in front of the world, but that’s how you know the sh*t’s real,” said Metro. “I would never bother going back-and-forth with somebody I didn’t care about. I’m just not going to care. I’m just not going to say nothing.”
He added, “Somebody I actually care about – it was a lot of emotions. But we’re all good. We’re one thousand.” Metro even told DJ Drama, “I love him.”
